When Knight Falls

Story

We should have stayed hidden like we have been for thousands of years, but no the elders wanted us to be living with them, peacefully on top of that too. I knew it was a mistake from the begining, but no one would listen, but before we go any further let my explain some things. First thing first, my name is Knight, and i am not one of them. The second thing what i am refering to as them are low life creatures "humans". Now you want to know what i am.......i'm Vampire. We have been on earth as long as the humans in hidding, in disguise as humans. We look just like them, so it wasn't hard. Our leader said that we would open up to the humans and live as one not seperated, so thats what we did, it was fine for about 30 years. Then the humans didn't want us around anymore so we went to war with them. We are incredibly fast and strong and all have different special abbilites so you would think that war would be easy. Thats where your wrong. They have weapons like high tech light show amazingly good weapons, we dont. So that evens the odds.

Chapter 1

Ah, its so hot, i cant stand the heat, said james in a disgusted kind of voice, Why do we have to go to the kingdom, Bro? (Yes, james is my brother, obviously vampire) The king asked us to come himself, we dont have a choice, i explained. Uh, moaned james, even if we did you would make us come here wouldn't you? Tssk, i hissed at him, Anyway, i love doing jobs that has to do with killing humans, so yeah we'd go anyway. Lets just make the best of it, i said like a leader, its nice to be outside in the cool night air. Yeah, i guess your right james said in a almost happy way. Its always been nice to fly, we've always loved it i said, (ah i forgot to mention i can fly, and so can james it runs in our family). Ah, look there it is the royal kingdom, said james, looking at the huge white castle with guards everywhere and nice shinny metals plastered to everything. (i always have loved the king and his way of doing things, hes the only man to hate the humans more than me) We flew down to the big gate which lead in, of course had to go through a very revealing inspection and finnally made it past. You know we coulda just flown over the gate, james said sounding proud like he thought of something i couldn't. Yeah, sure the guards wouldnt mind if we killed the king while were at it either, huh i said. Whatever, james moaned. We walked into the kingdom and was brought by servants to the kings chambers. Come this way, a servant said emotionlessly. We followed him all the way up to the kings bed where he was laying. Leave, he said to the servants. Yes your Highness, said a slave and they left. My majesty what did you request us to come here for, i said in my best cool sounding voice. Ha aha ha, you sounded so mature there come closer my sons, said the king, (who happens to be my dad if you haven't noticed). I have missed you, but i do have something for you guys to do, father said. I need you guys to retreive something for me. What, exclaimed james, like a weapon of mass destruction? No, no no, father said. Something much more valuable a necklace. A necklace....You called us all the way out here for a NECKLACE, we yelled almost simaltainiously. Ha ha ha, father laughed again, its not just a necklace this necklace gives great power to the person wearing it. if a human got his hands on this it would be bad news. I see, of course it has a deeper meaning then just being a necklace i thought to myself. Not only that, but its a pretty necklace and you see my anniversery with your mother is coming up and i want to give this to her.
